    The popularity of mindfulness today reminds me of that era in our youth when Zen was all the craze. It seemed like everyone was trying to publish a book entitled, “Zen and the art of …” Though it was a bit silly at the time, I think that overall it was a net gain for Zen and Buddhism generally.

      Yeah, I think that’s the thing. The excesses now seem silly and a bit perverted, but in the long run more people will be curious and some will delve into the religion of Buddhism.
